Sean & Ally - Sept 2009

September 2009

Back in the summer of 2005, Ally and her friend Deb won tickets to see the Dan Band for free at the Trocadero. The plan was for Ally to meet Deb at a bar by Deb's job before the concert. Deb's table was crowded so Ally grabbed a chair from a nearby table without noticing that Deb's co-worker Sean made room for her to sit next to him. Ally said she didn't want to be an inconvenience and Sean said "too late!" Ally thought Sean was rude but quickly forgot about it and went to the concert with Deb.

In early December of the same year, Deb and another friend, Molly, were planning a 90s themed joint birthday party. Sean showed up but spent the entire time in the kitchen barely talking due to a sore throat. One of the only things he said that night was expressing concern over Ally spilling a drink on a camera (which was her own camera, oops).

A week later, Deb invited Ally to a bar after the company Christmas party. Sean was there as well and would not leave Ally alone and even bit her arm. Ally was confused but intrigued by Sean's weird behavior. Beyond Sean's odd behavior, they learned that they grew up roughly 2 miles apart and had very similar childhoods. They lived so close that Ally's mom briefly worked within walking distance from Sean's house! They exchanged a few emails, went to see King Kong, and the rest is history.

On December 17, 2008 (their third anniversary), Sean proposed to Ally at their apartment. She accepted and two months later, they bought their first house together. Ally and Sean share their house with Sean's son Aaron and their two cats, Oreo and Isis.
